Environmental policy
We manage two things together: how we build the equipment, and the energy that equipment then uses in the customer’s plant.
- Legal compliance is the floor, and our internal limits are set tighter than the law requires.
- Cutting fluid and wash liquids from machining are recovered, and the treatment is recorded.
- At the design stage we look at heat recovery and wash water reuse, which lowers the customer's running cost.
- We prefer reusable packing, and waste segregation rules are posted at each site.

Safety and health policy
Assembly work involves heavy lifting, welding, work at height and access to moving parts during commissioning. Where a hazard cannot be removed we manage it with procedure and protective equipment, and we make sure the schedule allows the procedure to be followed.
| Targets | Zero serious incidents, and a rising number of near miss reports |
|---|---|
| Risk assessment | An annual review, plus an assessment whenever a new process is introduced |
| Training | Induction training, periodic training and training for specific hazardous tasks |
| Contractors | A pre task briefing on hazards and a permit to work procedure |
| Inspection | Daily site checks, a monthly safety meeting and an annual internal audit |
We were certified to ISO 45001 in 2023 and maintain that certification.
Safety activities
- Near miss reports are received without penalty, and the person who reported gets an answer on what was done.
- Commissioning areas are physically separated, and an isolation procedure applies before anyone reaches into a machine.
- Heavy items are handled only with the designated jigs and cranes, and manual handling limits are posted.
- When working on a customer site, that site's safety rules take precedence.
